This is an ongoing series I have worked on for the last few years capturing the birds and saltmarsh scenes of the magnificent wilderness south of Cedar Key: the Waccasassa Bay Preserve, Withlacoochee River saltmarsh at Yankeetown, Bennett's creek and other beloved areas of this wild section of Gulf. Because of a family home on the River, we have spent many days in boats exploring the creeks and marshes and out into the Gulf. Often stumbling onto amazing abundance of spoonbills, storks and ibis feeding on the rich marine life when the tide is right.
