A special series: working with Raffis Palms or native wild palmettos. I enjoy treating the work almost as an abstract and selecting out small areas between the palm leaves to fill in with vibrant color, building up layers to get the intensity of color that I love. The details take many hours to complete. I am never satisfied until the artwork seems to pop with the right combination of color and light.
